Son of former Brazilian national team player "Zizinho", Mexican born "Gio" was a key player in Mexico's win in the U17 World Championship 2005 in Peru and awarded the Silver Ball as second best player of the tournament. He made both his first team and Champions League debut in September 2007 at just eighteen-years-of-age.

Carlos Vela- Premier Cup: Chivas 2004
Vela was a key player in Mexico's win in the U17 World Championship 2005 in Peru and awarded Top Scorer. Only 19 years-of-age, this is his second season playing for Spanish La Liga club Osasuna.

Juan Pablo Rodríguez Guerrero – Premier Cup: Club Atlas 1996
