Salgaocar FC became the first team to book their place in the 2009 MUPC World Finals, when they emerged Champions of India after beating Raghav FC by 2:0.
Now in it's fourth year, the India qualification tournament sponsored by Nike and the AIFF has expanded from 8 participating teams to 50 in the past year, and now qualifies for a direct spot at the World Finals in Manchester.
